Yesterday I had a mini maternity session with a family waiting for baby #3 who is going to be loved by her two big brothers
Isn’t mom absolutely glowing? I LOVE what she picked out to wear to show off her beautiful bump!

Thanks for stopping by the Christie Adams Photography blog. Here I will share recent work, studio news and specials and of course some pictures of my own family. My husband Chris and I are the parents of an adventurous, curious and strong-willed 3 year old daughter named Sabrina and a precious baby named Thérèse (pronounced Te-rez).
My love of photography started long ago. As a child I always brought my film to be developed the day I got home from vacation. Quite simply, pictures make me happy. I would love a bigger house, not for a state of the art kitchen, but for the wall space to hang photos.
My style is photojournalistic, natural and fun. I love capturing people doing the things that make them happy- whether it's a baby playing on the bed, a child reading a book, or a family playing hide and seek. I want to freeze that moment, because I know this precious time is fleeting. Babies become children who become adults way too fast. I have done my job if one of my photos captures and preserves a moment of truth in your life.

I have been slacking lately. I have let weeks go by without taking any photos of my own kids. I always feel guilty when I think of my camera as just something I use for my job. We recently had our new living room painted the most beautiful shade of blue that is perfect for pictures so today I made a point of snapping a few of the girls. T is so wild now that it is almost impossible to get a shot in focus since she doesn’t stay still for more then a millisecond. She is going to be the one to give me grey hairs. But she has the most innocent, sweet face..like “who me? trouble?!?!?”

And Sabrina….she wants me to take her picture all.day.long and after each click of the shutter will ask “was that a good smile?” It is sooo hard to get just a natural sabrina-expression from her when the camera is out but I love these two.

I sound like a broken record but I just LOVE LOVE LOVE newborns. And little Molly was so good to me, she wins the record for fastest newborn session ever at under 1 hour. Such a sweetheart…I was having some baby fever on my drive home
love her little smile in this one

++++ On a scheduling note, June was a crazy busy month for me with 14 sessions and July is looking to be just as busy. So I am going to cap off July after one more booking. Same with August. I just have room left in my schedule for one more after August 23.
After two rain-out sessions we lucked out yesterday with the weather (although it did sprinkle for a couple minutes during the shoot!). I had such a fun afternoon with you guys!! Here is a little preview for you

I finally met up with this little guy again and this time the rain stayed away for the entire session…yeah!! I love when a baby become my little buddy during the session and Ryan was especially sweet and affectionate with me. Happy First Birthday again and I know you will be the best big brother this October!!

I love newborn sessions and this one was no exception. Yesterday was my third session with this family and it has been so fun watching them grow from a family of 3 to a family of 4. Congrats L family- you have 2 gorgeous girls!!

I met this little angel last fall and she is just as beautiful as I remember. Have you ever seen a sweeter face?

This weekend I tried to do a session with little Ryan who is celebrating his first birthday this week (and who I last saw for his newborn session a year ago!!). Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate so his became my 3rd session of the week that needed to be rescheduled. I now have 6 sessions this week and the forecast calls for more RAIN :( I am beyond frustrated with mother nature right now.
We did manage about 5 minutes before calling it quits and this shot made me smile so I thought I’d share. Happy Birthday Ryan and I hope when I see you this week the sun will be shining!!

I loved meeting this cute (and super smart!!) little boy this morning. He had fun exploring a new park and I got my much needed exercise trying to keep up with him.
After 4 shoots in 4 days I am looking forward to having the next 2 days off!

This was an impromptu hug for mommy….soooo sweet!

I’m going to be sad when this field of daisies is gone for the season. I need to take the girls there this week if we get an hour of rain-free weather when I don’t already have a session. This month has been insane as you can tell from all the previews I’ve been posting lately and the next couple of weeks are just as busy. Today was a special session for me because I’ve known Ryan since he was born. He is almost exactly 1 year younger then Sabrina and they are buddies..he makes both of us laugh and last week he had Thérèse giggling at him. He is such a BOY in every sense of the word and I love watching him grow up.
