    Thanks for stopping by the Christie Adams Photography blog. Here I will share recent work, studio news and specials and of course some pictures of my own family. My husband Chris and I are the parents of an adventurous, curious and sweet 6 year old daughter named Sabrina and a feisty and silly 3 year old named Thérèse (pronounced Te-rez).

    My love of photography started long ago. As a child I always brought my film to be developed the day I got home from vacation. Quite simply, pictures make me happy. I would love a bigger house, not for a state of the art kitchen, but for the wall space to hang photos.

    My style is photojournalistic, natural and fun. I love capturing people doing the things that make them happy- whether it's a baby playing on the bed, a child reading a book, or a family playing hide and seek. I want to freeze that moment, because I know this precious time is fleeting. Babies become children who become adults way too fast. I have done my job if one of my photos captures and preserves a moment of truth in your life.

Ridgewood NJ newborn photographer

Yesterday I met beautiful Madison for her newborn session at the studio.  She started off wide awake but then fell into a peaceful slumber and let me put this adorable little hat on her.   I have the best job:)

Ridgewood NJ newborn photographer

Ridgewood NJ children photographer

Last week I met such a fun family for a combination studio + outdoor session.  We started at the studio with lots of girly outfits and accessories and then headed out to explore the park.  Beautiful Miss J kept me laughing; she has such a happy and silly personality and was the easiest toddler to photograph.  I loved getting to meet her and her family; here’s a tiny preview:

Ridgewood NJ children photographer

It’s been over a year since I last saw this family and they have since added a new member.  I, of course, always love the sitting-up age so it was lots of fun to capture him.  Miss A has become such a beautiful big girl.  Thanks for coming in to the studio last week!!
