I met these lovely little girls this week to celebrate their first birthday. Mom and Aunt Jen worked soooo hard to get the girls to smile and they cracked me up with their song and dance performances. Thanks Jessie- here’s a little preview!

This summer we decided to join our town pool since it is a block from our house. This morning when Chris left for work he promised Sabrina that he would take her to the pool after her nap when he got home. Well wouldn’t you know, she decided that she didn’t really want a nap today so instead she stayed awake waiting for daddy’s return so she could go swimming.
Doesn’t she look proud of her new sporty suit?
I asked her if she was going to walk like a big girl to the pool and she opted to ride on daddy’s shoulders instead

Last week Conner celebrated his second birthday so yesterday we had a photo shoot with his mom and grandparents to mark this special occasion. Conner is adorable, happy and has the most gorgeous blue eyes- here is a little preview of our afternoon togegther:
Sabrina got an umbrella for her red wagon this week that has become her new favorite thing. She was carrying it like a princess this morning while Chris pulled her in the wagon up and down our block. When it started to rain she thought it was the perfect opportunity to put it to good use:
Usually at least a couple of times a day Sabrina just cracks me. I love this age even with the occasional tempter tantrum just because her little personality is really coming out, she loves to make jokes and she is my little buddy. Yesterday after dinner, Chris got her in her jammies while I was in the kitchen and then she walked in and said ” Mommy, this is funny!” and this is what I saw:
She’s had these wellies for a year and has never worn them. Every time I offered to put them on her feet on a rainy day she has flat out refused.
Gotta love toddlers
Excuse the messy house and the snapshots- I’m lucky I had my camera on the kitchen table but there was no time to worry about settings when all I wanted to do was capture this Sabrina-moment!
