My goal for this weekend was to get photos for my own Christmas card. After taking 197 I went through them last night and found some I LOVE….ordered my cards today. I will share after they go in the mail so I don’t ruin the surprise 
I just have to share these…mostly of Thérèse but one of Sabrina that I adore.
Last week I had 3 requests for gift certificates and decided to finally make up something “pretty” for my cards:
Since this is the biggest shopping weekend of the year I wanted to share in case someone in your life would enjoy a custom photography session next year. Two of the three requests I had this week were for baby shower presents which I think is such a wonderful and unique present for a mom-to-be!!
For this weekend only (until Sunday November 30th at midnight) I am offering a special on all gift certificates where the amount on the card is $50 more then you spend. So if you want a $200 gift certificate, just spend $150. If you want a $300 gift certificate, you spend $250.

I will probably be too busy eating to post tomorrow so I wanted to share a little Thanksgiving story. I was talking to Sabrina about Thanksgiving and what we will do tomorrow since this is the first year she really “gets” it. I asked her what she is thankful for and she said: “my doggie” (we don’t have a real one, just her stuffed animal that she carries with her and sleeps with). I said how I was thankful she had her doggie too and asked what else she was thankful for.
She thought for a second and said- “the bumpy slide park, library class, French class, Kids Junction, peanut butter, jelly and yogurt sandwiches, my big girl bed, Spot books, bathtime and Thérèse and Mommy and Daddy.”
There are so many things I am thankful for, most of all for the health of my family, and having two girls and a husband who always know how to make me smile. I am also so grateful to my extended family, my clients, for allowing me to capture their lives through my eyes. I have the best job in the world.
Finally, on a silly note- I am thankful that I got both girls to wear cute hats today :
Sometimes I leave a session and just can’t stop thinking about the photos the whole car ride home. And I put my card in my computer and have to pry myself away because I just want to work on them all night. This happened when I met little Cooper. 8 weeks is usually too old in photography terms to be considered a newborn so I wasn’t sure what kind of images I’d end up with. But I couldn’t be happier because C was the sweetest and happiest 8 week old who made everything easy for me.
