Back in December I booked a trip (kid-free) to Costa Rica as a surprise for my husband’s birthday in April. I couldn’t keep the secret for too long and we’ve both been looking forward to this trip all winter. Costa Rica did not disappoint. We had an amazing time and I would highly recommend it. Our first day as we walked the beach in Tamarindo we enjoyed a beautiful sunset. The colors in the sky were like a painting.
The next day we did a day-trip to the Rincon de la Vieja National Park for a day of adventure…zip-lining, tubing down the river, horse back riding through the forest and then ending at the base of a volcano where we painted ourselves with volcanic mud before relaxing in the hot springs. I wish I could have taken pictures during the tubing. It was so spectacular but we got soaked and I needed both hands to hold onto my tube so I left my camera behind.
We could barely walk the next morning so we enjoyed relaxing at our resort (below is the view of one of the pools from our balcony). It was fun seeing the monkeys and lizards up close!
Tamarindo is a big surfing destination, even the dogs got into it 🙂
Wish I could see these views everyday….
wow – looks amazing!!
I love, love, love all these shots! Looks like a dreamy place to visit!
